Popped in because we heard good tunes playing from the saloon. Had a few drinks then decided to eat. Wonderful pasta bar! Friendly and fun family-run restaurant. They make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. Highly recommend.

Before starting my day, I came across this amazing place, and even though I was far from home, I was greeted with a taste that made me feel right at home. Especially at this early hour, finding freshly made, piping hot gravy was an incredible feeling. On top of that, being served fluffy pancakes and crispy bacon was just perfect. The location is just a few minutes from Mount Rushmore, so after my museum visit and a few nature trails, I came back here for lunch. The lunch was just as high-quality, delicious, and carefully prepared as the breakfast. I’m feeling great, and for that reason, I’m giving 5/5 for both location and food. The restaurant is spacious and perfectly suited to host large groups comfortably. There’s also a massive buffalo inside—don’t forget to take a picture with it, and don’t worry, it’s very friendly :) The restrooms were clean and fully stocked with napkins, so I’m giving 5/5 for atmosphere as well. Many thanks to the Fat Sam’s family and kitchen staff for giving me this wonderful experience. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. See you next summer! For all these reasons, my service rating is also 5/5.

The breakfast buffet was amazing. Great tasting food! Just like homemade and better!

The staff here are super friendly and nice! You can tell they really care their customers. The buffet has 3 sections ( pasta, nachos and pasta) and all of it was great! We loved their bolognese sauce it had so much flavor. It has a great family run feel to it.

Family ran restaurant! Good food and they treat you like family. The wait staff were very attentive!

What a fantastic spot. The owner cares , the staff are perfect , all the buffet was really good and I mean all of it. Please go here because this place needs to stay around !! What a lovely spot.
